• Details:  Own a piece of California Pottery history with this sweet Eyelash Girl DeLee Art Co figurine planter.  She is hand-painted with lots of floral details on her gown, and hair.  With very distinctive eyelashes, we believe this charming ceramic girl is part of the Eyelash Girls collection, (1940's - 1950's).  She can serve as both a decorative planter / cachepot and functional vase.  We've also seen her advertised as a scissors holder, pencil holder, and spoon holder for a tea or garden party, she's perfectly suited for all.  Hand crafted in California, this discontinued collectible is increasingly sought after by vintage enthusiasts and home décor lovers.

• Condition:  Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. DeLee Art Co was founded by Jimmie Lee Stewart in 1937 Los Angeles, California.  Part of the creative California pottery scene during that era, she was one of the smaller, now famous "California Pottery" companies.   She had a whimsical style, that showed up in all her creations including:  figurines and planters of animals, people, lots of children and girls and even some wall pockets and cookie jars. Unfortunately the whole California ceramic industry suffered with high costs and competition from imports, even some of the "Big Five" had no choice but to close down.  DeLee Art Co went out of business around 1958.
